BOMBAY TER DOORN Z: GENETIC PERFECTION
This sympathetic athletic chestnut stallion comes from the breeding of Steven and the late Paul Van Britsom. As a 2-year-old we were lucky enough to be able to get hold of half of this genetic masterpiece.
Sire By Cera d'Ick was unable to pursue a sports career due to an injury, but is starting to show his imprint in breeding. As the son of Stakkato out of the legendary mare Fein Cera of Peter Wylde, it can hardly be otherwise than that this is a dream combination with the mother For Fun ter Doorn, who in turn descends from the figurehead For Pleasure.
ForFun ran with Nick van Laer at the top of her year at the 7-year-old and was even qualified for the World Championships in Zangersheide. For fun ter Doorn's dam is Olidame van de Padenborre and descends from the legendary Quidam de Revel. We also see Lugano from Laroche and Codex returning, which is the same combination as the world famous "Darco".
Further in the dam line we see horses like Ivory ter thorn, Galipolli ter thorn, Ellechin ter thorn, Dijon ter thorn, Udamco ter thorn, etc…. All of which perform at 160m level.
The approved Stallion Piece of Cake M is also very closely related to Bombay.
Together with his willingness to work, we think this is an asset to top show jumping horse breeding.
